What is the best way to handle emails that bounced or have been returned? Currently FogBugz just handles them as a new case. I would like to delete them from the system because they are not actually cases. So I just mark them as spam?
Curious to see if anybody else has anything setup.
I personally use an Area called "Notifications" or the "Not SPAM" area and then resolve with "Won't Respond".
I do this rather than setting them as SPAM just in case I really do need to get that email through to a customer and get a bounce, so may need to resend (if I can find another email address for them). If I set returns and bounces to SPAM I'm worried I might miss an important bounce.
If however you're talking about bounces from auto-replies to SPAM, then you might get away with setting them as SPAM, but I'd still be wary of this. Once your SPAM filter is working better you won't be getting auto-replies being sent out so much, so most bounces should then be important to you.
