Filter to show recently modified cases

Is there a way to filter on cases that have recently received an email from the case correspondent? Here's the scenario:

I receive an email that creates a new case. I reply to the email asking for more information. A few days later, I receive a response that gets appended to the original case.  I want to be able to identify those cases that have responded with their additional information.

I am currently sorting on "Last Updated", but this shows cases that I have updated, not just cases that have been updated via email response.

You can either close or resolve the case and then when the user responds the case will be made ACTIVE again...
