MimeDecode issues...

I keep getting this error:

PHP Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20989525 bytes) in /usr/share/pear/Mail/mimeDecode.php on line 401

I know that a previous topic had already been opened on the issue, but my php.ini seems to be setup correctly:

max_execution_time = 600    ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
max_input_time = 600    ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data
memory_limit = 50M      ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume

Any help as how to solve this would be appreciated! This keeps killing the performance of fogbugz, and therefore preventing people from logging into it to check up on tickets.

Can you try upping that memory limit to 256M briefly?

I can do so - but that's quite a bit of memory to be given away.

I can't always reproduce these problems, they just appear over time. I'll report back on the memory up.
Although I would only be creating a temporary fix, whereas I'm trying to find the cause of it.
Obviously a 256mb+ memory request should never occur if I'm limiting it to 50mb. Why does it need so much, when the function in question is simply splitting the headers?

To anybody lurking: We're trying this diagnostically offline.
