A forum for technical support discussion related to Fogbugz.
We would like the ability for any user to subscribe any other user to a bug. This would seem to be consistent with the idea that any user can edit any part of a bug, this part being the subscription list.
eg. I would like to send a message to the originator of a bug and keeping it part of the conversation without reassigning the bug thus keeping it in my list.
I was disappointed to see that this feature is still missing, despite having sent Fog Creek an implementation about a year ago. I have just merged my fix into v4 and would be happy to send it to anyone who wants it.

I doubt this will be implemented, since the FogBugz help documents specifically say that they think its a bad idea:
[Subscribing to a Case]
"In the interest of reducing the amount of unwanted email, FogBugz does not let you force-subscribe someone else to a case. If you want them to know about it, you should temporarily assign the case to them with a note like "FYI" (which sends them a notification email) and then immediately assign it back to whomever it really belongs."

Denis sent me his implementation. I can confirm that it works beautifully. The work-around in the documetion is a bad excuse. What if you want to notify 5 people? You assign to them temporarily one by one?
