FB 6 -- Status of Perforce integration is ?

We did some work with the FB 6 beta (some time ago), and the wheels are turning for us to move from FB 4 in production to FB 6.

The question is: What is the status of Perforce integration in FB 6 ?

a) Is Perforce integration present in FB 6 ?

b) Is it basically the same architecture as the FB 4/5 integration? (which was a VBA script executed from a check-in trigger in Perforce)

c) If it is a s script, is it the same as the script in FB 4/5, or is it new?  (I ask because we modified the FB 4 script)

The perforce P4DTG integration is complete.

The existing integration that we've supported in the last 3 versions is still there, so if you are using that you don't have to do anything extra.

There is also now an integration with Perforce jobs, using P4DTG, which is Perforce's most sophisticated method of integration.

Just click Extras->Source Control in FB6 and the setup program will set things up for you.

Actually the Perforce trigger script was modified in FogBugz 6 to allow for displaying / linking to changelists instead of individual files / diffs.  If you set up the new trigger script it will show changelists by default, but it's an easy modification to go back to the old behavior (just change one line in the script).

Sounds like some good perforce work was done!

Is there a Fogbugz doc that walks through the new integration functionality?  (Or must I get it all set up to see it ?)

Thanks! This has been long awaited! (Just comes at a time when we are too busy to actually set it up :-(  )

In FB6 if you go to the Extras menu, and choose Source Control Integration it will tell you how to set it up.

Perforce has docs on their site about how the Gateway works (and we're listed there).

Click P4DTG on that page.
