I think David might have been confused about what was happening. Previously you had to go to the special search screen to include CLOSED cases in your results. Now, unless you do some extra work you get them in all of your search results.
I'd have to say I find this annoying too. We have been closing cases, as opposed to just resolving them, when they were done and released so we didn't have them cluttering up our search results anymore. Typically when we are searching for a case we only want to search the stuff that is still open like FB5 did. This change is going to make it extra work to find cases for us in most circumstances.
