When I open a case I enter the original estimate, for example 1h. I start working and when I resolve the case, I might have been pessimistic with the original estimate because I realize that I have only worked on the case for 30 minutes. Should I also enter a current estimate equal to the elapsed time? If I don't, I see that I have more work to do. I stop seeing that only if I close the case and goes out of my filter results. Also, if I don't, will the EBS algorithm produce accurate reports?

EBS will take into account your tendencies over time. If you consistently overestimate, then it will learn that about you, and adjust the release times that it predicts accordingly.
Great! I understood that I should not "correct" the current estimate to the final elapsed time when I close a case.
