"Cannot add case" -- ???

On the list page beneath my list of cases is the text "Cannot add case".  I thought this location was supposed to have a link that allowed the quick entry of a case.  What's up?

This has me stumped too.

I thought it might be down to the grouping, but I've tried various order/group scenarios but not quite found the key to getting this working consistently.

I too would like to know what the requirements are to be able to see the "Add case" link below a group in grid view.

Your filter basically has to have enough info that FogBugz would know where to put the case.

ie. if your filter is "all open cases", fogbugz doesn't know the project/area/assigned to, etc.

...or if your filter or grouping specifies "Opened By Another User", "Closed", "Resolved", etc...you cannot add a new case w/ these specifications.

We debated dropping this "Cannot add case" note altogether but thought it would be unclear why in some situations you see "Add new case" and in some you see nothing.

In a later version we may have a brief note clarifying why you cannot add a case to a particular group.
