Really liking FB6, the Wiki and the new UI are great.
In our company, I would like to propose that we use FB for rudimentary change notification and tracking. I feel that FB provides both a pleasant, easy to use interface as well as a persistent store for all change cases that come up, the discussion of which can be pivotal to a company's success.
(I would appreciate any thoughts on this proposal, war stories or advice.)
Within FB, there seems to be two reasonable options:
1) Use an Area
Email sent on case creation
Email sent on any addition to case (i.e. discussion)
Same email format as a "normal" case - any way to customize per Area?
2) Use a discussion group
Nice format, pleasant to read
No email notification at all (yes I've read Joel's paper, I'm not complaining)
Perhaps RSS could be used to craft a form of email notification...
Anyway, I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on this use for FB.
