Little annoyances with timesheets

Hi guys

A slight annoyances that you might want to consider for a future version of FB6:

My schedule ends at 6pm, but sometimes I work after this. If I close a case, or otherwise fiddle with my "working on" menu after this time, perhaps the task I was working on should automatically extend to this time, assuming I fiddle on the same calendar day.

This fix may not work so well for night owls working past midnight who return to work the next day.

On the upside when I manually edit the entry that terminates at 6pm, the drop down box jumps to the entry closest to the current time... at least that's what I thought I saw!

Interesting issue.  I spoke with the developer who spent a lot of time on this, and we agree, this isn't great.  We talked through your idea and there is definitely something to it.  Again the issue would be transparency of what we are doing when we make the "automagic" adjustment.

For now, hitting Stop/Start at the end of your work day, or just going back the next day and adding the time to your timesheet are the best ways to handle it.

Opening up a feature request for this one.

no dramas... the workaround is ok for now.

Is there an easy way to view my timesheet for a period, say a week? To see how many hours I have clocked up?

Not really.  If you are just looking for elapsed time on cases that you've worked on, you can always run a search for:

editedby:me edited:"This Week"

That will show you a total elapsed time for those cases.  It isn't perfect, but perhaps it will help.
