FogBugz 6.0 On Demand and SSL

We are interested in possibly moving from a local install of FB5 to the hosted version of FB6.  Is the hosted version available via SSL (https:)?  Also, does it support using encryption when connecting to our POP mail server?

We had the same idea and wondered if there was a credit so you could "trade in" your licenses for a few months of hosted FogBugz.

The hosted version is ONLY available via SSL.

And it can use Secure POP (usually on port 995).

Our policy for giving current licensed users credit towards FogBugz On Demand is as follows:

- full credit for any amount paid within the last 90 days
- full credit for any part of your support contract that is not used; i.e. from today onward
- credit of 50% on the license fees from licenses purchased within the last year (excluding those licenses already credited from the last 90 days)

The credit will be applied as an extension of the free trial period when you first sign up for FogBugz On Demand.

Normally you would receive 45 free days on the trial, but we will extend that according to the credit you received for your purchased licenses and support.  After your free trial is over, the credit card you supplied during signup will begin to be billed.

Thanks Michael.  I created a trial account and things look pretty good so far.  One other question:

If we wanted to, how would we go about importing our existing FB5 database into the hosted FB6 account?

Your existing FogBugz 5 database can be imported into FogBugz On Demand. Just follow these instructions:

Thanks Michael - trading licenses for on-demand credits is a nice touch.
