Per Project prefix

Hi,

I know Fogbugz handles case number prefixs, but can I have a per-project prefix?

i.e.:  LM-4765,  CMS-7658

That way, I can tell immediately what ticket belongs to what project, without having FogBugz open in front of me.

We haven't heard this request before. I can file a feature request, but I think the changes would be too deep and complex to warrant the effort when the project is already detailed in the subject lines of notifications.

I recall bringing this up about a year or so back (I can't recall).  Oh well.

Boy, that made me sound intelligent!

I recall asking about this previously, I do not recall WHEN it was done.

Hmm. Okay, what was the disposition at that time.  The real sticking point here is mail processing. It's possible to move cases between projects after they're processed by the mailbox.  In order to know which case to look for, we'd have to know what project it was in originally, and which it's in currently. Or we could just ignore prefixes for incoming projects, but then what happens if you are getting an email from another FogBugz install.  Chaos.

I just don't think the potential benefit merits the investment of time here.  Sorry, I'm not usually so categorical about feature requests. (Some people wish we were more direct.)  But this is a sweeping change for little more than a slight uptick in convenience.
