Release notes report should not show all resolved cases...

... only those which were "positively" resolved, i.e. fixed or implemented.
I do not want to see cases which were resolved as "won't fix", "duplicate" and other "negative" resolution types in the report showing release notes.

The rationale for this is that users do not need to be informed about things that are not part of the release, at least not in the release notes.

Now, I could swear this was the way things used to work, but that's not how it's working now. Was this behaviour changed, or am I remembering a feature that's never actually been there?

Seems reasonable. I'll file a case.  Not sure if we want to check the historical behavior, because this just makes sense.

Support for managing release notes should be dramatically improved in general. Ideally, after checking which milestones to include, the list of cases would be displayed in a normal gridview. I'd want to filter on just feature cases, for example, or at least sort by category. An outline view would be very useful. I'd focus on the parent cases most of the time.

I second the request for the outline view. We typically have two levels in our hierarchy of cases, and we do not want to fill in release notes both on a parent and on its subcases.

I wonder if it would not be better to reuse the traditional case view, with all its filtering options. What is missing is:
1) A button to generate release notes for all currently visible cases.
2) The ability to visualize and possibly edit release notes in the view.

Okay, no more complaining that we never react quickly to feature requests.  This is checked in and will ship with 7.1.

Rich, do not commit!
We've only done the first bit.
