Feature Request: Queue emails without sending

Related to a couple other of my posts today about email issues, I found that I could disable sending emails altogether via the "site" admin page. The implication of that configuration is that FB doesn't even queue emails for sending; it just makes no effort to send or acknowledgement of an ability to send.

While we were having the problem with our smtp reflector, I could use that feature to keep more notifications from building up in the error list. But then I'd lose those emails. At least with ongoing errors, they would be in the queue and I could resend them when things were fixed.

It would have been useful in this situation to disable send attempts while continuing to allow the emails to queue. Then when the smtp reflector (or other issue external to FB) was corrected, I could have FB resume sending from the queue. This would prevent the error notifications from building up without losing the emails that ultimately needed to be sent.

In this case, we'd just recommend disabling the FogBugz Maintenance Service until things were fixed.  But your point is well-taken.

If I had access to the server on which that Windows service runs, I could do that. Keeping things within the FB admin UI is much simpler. ;)
